Working out the most suitable fall protection solutions is no easy task. After all, building structures and roofs differ enormously from one another. Planners, building contractors and architects must therefore plan in advance, taking some fundamental principles into account.
Each year, several million square metres of roof surface are constructed or renovated in Germany. For many workers, this means climbing at heights on a daily basis to service solar panels on new buildings or maintain existing roof surfaces. Since they must constantly face the danger of falling from heights, they must use personal fall protection equipment (PPE) in connection with existing safety systems when working or moving around on roofs. This is required by law.
